How To Install & Modify a Wolfmix Project

Installing a project onto your Wolfmix WMX1 is super simple, and we’ll go over it in this article. These instructions both apply to Windows and Mac.

First download the .wpj & optionally the .ev2 file onto your computer. (The .ev2 is for the Easy View Visualizer)

Connect your WMX1 to your laptop and open the WTOOLS App

Navigate to the Projects tab in the WTools app, and then drag and drop your .wpj file, and click Import Sync to make your project appear on your WMX1 Hardware.

Now load the newly imported project on your WMX1

How to modify the Wolfmix Shortcut

The shortcut is a template designed to be modifiable to use your own lighting fixtures, as well as some of the supported fixtures. The Shortcut supports the official 1.0 release firmware, as the Beta 2.0 firmware is still unstable and guarantee that everything will work.

There are 4 main groups:

Group A – Uplights

Group B – Pixel Tubes/Bars

Group C – Movers

Group D– Dedicated Dance Floor Wash

You should only have lights that you’re planning on using “active”, in each of these groups. Then rest should be in a different group, such as the “Other”. Optionally, you can delete all fixtures that you don’t have and don’t ever plan on purchasing.

While there are many fixtures already included in the shortcut, you can add your own, or add additional fixtures. (e.g. have more unique addresses for uplights, tubes, movers, etc…)
